BIOGRAPHY OF DAVY HOBSON Davy D. Hobson, a 71-year-old Paramedic and Registered Nurse, has led a remarkable life defined by a deep commitment to healthcare, a passion for the outdoors, and a flair for the creative arts. Born and raised in Texas, Hobson’s early years were marked by entrepreneurial spirit and a connection to nature. From ages 10 to 15, he sold Tyler Roses at bloom stands in Fort Worth each summer, and in the early 1970s, he became one of the first 200 individuals to earn the designation of Texas Certified Horticulturist. His adventurous spirit also took him to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, where he worked between college semesters, and to the oil fields near Houston, where he labored as a "roughneck" on Rig #21 for Delta Drilling in 1974.
